Create a company action plan for
how to respond to a raid.
Use information from the Immigration Law Center link above as well as
information on this worksheet to create an action plan that works for your
business. Train a trusted employee to implement the plan when you are not
there,
-
Make sure your employees know the plan
and managers are well versed in executing the plan.
-
Hold KNOW YOUR RIGHTS and raid preparation trainings
for your employees.

-
Make sure all employees and managers have the Colorado Rapid
Response Network number in their phones to call if a raid is occurring:
1-844-863-8341
What to do if it happens
(These actins should be part of your company plan)
-
Call the CORRN Hotline number immediately at 844.864.8341
-
Have employees refer all questions to the designated point person
for their shift, who has been trained to follow your company’s
plan. This is the only person who should talk to the ICE agents.
-
Capture as much information from the agents as possible -- badge
numbers, names, what they asked, etc. If possible, video their
actions.
-
Determine whether ICE has a judicial warrant (issued by a court
and signed by a judge). A judicial warrant will have "U.S.
Magistrate Judge" below the signature line. See
CIRC: Understanding warrants
CRRN: Identifying a warrant
-
If they have a judicial warrant, make sure the scope of the
warrant is correct. (Correct date, name and address of business,
name of the person they are asking for.)
-
If they do not have authorization, do not let them into private areas.
-
Keep calm!
-
Do not run away.
-
Do not lie to officers.
-
Do not interfere with their activities.
